Special Operations 5 |
Cecil
Montgomery took one look at Manuel Lopez and knew he wanted the handsome
Marine in his life. Convincing Manny of that might be harder than anything
Cecil has ever faced before, especially when fate seems determined to keep
them apart.
After
one night of passion in the arms of Cecil Montgomery, Manuel Lopez runs in the
other direction. Besides the fact that Cecil is so gorgeous he makes Manny
ache, the man is rich, and Manny has a deep hatred of anyone with money, a
hatred that goes back nearly twenty years.
When
confronted by the man that started it all, Manny realizes he might have made a
mistake, but by then, it’s too late. Cecil wants nothing to do with him. Worse
yet, Cecil’s life is in danger and Manny and his fellow Marines might not even
be able to save him. |

5 DELIGHTFUL
DIVAS & RECOMMENDED READ:
"Waiting to Breathe by Stormy Glenn took this reader by storm~ no pun
intended. The slow buildup of Cecil and Manny’s relationship was a
sensual trek of need and desire. Having money isn’t everything, when
health and love are part of the equation...Ms. Glenn’s tale was
heart-felt and emotional. As a fan of the Special Operations series and
all the men in the close-knit group, I have waited patiently for Manny’s
story and the mysterious reason the man was infatuated with Pringles.
Ms. Glenn did not disappoint. No spoilers here but know that Ms. Glenn
portrayed issues common to those enmeshed in trauma and sickness with
clarity and sensitivity. More than once, I was brought to tears, as I
read through Waiting to Breathe, holding my breath for the next shoe to
drop. Waiting to Breathe is a keeper and a recommended read." --

5 HEARTS:
“Readers of Stormy Glenn have been waiting for this book for a while. I
was so glad when it came out. And it did not disappoint. This was a
great addition to the series, and leaves room for more to come. Overall,
good emotional drama and action without being overly rushed or
shortchanged.” – Leigh,

4 COCKTAILS: " I’ve loved other books from
Stormy Glenn. She’s never disappointed me, and “Waiting to Breathe” is
living proof. I went from not wanting to finish it to absolutely loving
it. I’ve not read the first for books in the “Special Operations”
series, but I didn’t feel lost by jumping in at number five. There was a
decent amount of exposition without it taking up too much of the story.
After enjoying this one so much, I’m going to be checking out the
previous books in order. I highly recommend this one. Once you push past
Manny’s little “issue”, you’ll be so happy you read it." -- Shannon,
